I have also adopted the mindset that the UPS man, the Mail man and the Ice cream man are all in cahoots with each other. For example the UPS man, every day parks his truck across the street from my house. He just sits there, mocking me. While I am desperately waiting for a package that he does not drop off. Sometimes he will even drive off and then come back and park in front of my house. Salt in the wound I say!/div>
In the muddy surrogacy laws of VA, Jellybean was born with our surrogate’s last name. It is just easier for the hospitals to identify who the baby came from versus the whole Jerry Springer conflict of who’s the baby mama or baby daddy. Now, don’t get me wrong here, our surrogate has a mighty fine last name. But can you blame us for wanting it to be ours? There is just a sense of finality involved once that piece of paper arrived and displayed us as the parents on the certificate. So thank you Mr. Mail Man. Today you stand amongst the many who have helped us become a family. If you like our blog, even just a little, how about showing us some sweet sweet bloglovin’ and follow us? Re: the ice cream man, maybe leave a couple dollars tucked somewhere close to the door for next time.
Heather, I really should leave some emergency ice cream money near by the door. At this point though I have ice cream man PTSD.
Yay for same last name! I cracked up when the saw the pic of the UPS truck and your caption. Your daughter is going to love reading through all these posts one day!
Lisa, I often think about that. If she will want to read this blog or if it will freak her out. Ever walk in on your parents doing it? will it be a clinical version of that? Traumatized for life because we talk about our junk so often?
Ah congrats! What a great day indeed! I love this! (and choco-taco’s too … who doesn’t love a choco-taco?!)
Jenn, indeed. Choco-tacos should be considered the national dessert of the US. It makes my tummy smile inside.
I don’t comment often, but thank you for keeping up your wonderful blog. You make me laugh, cry, and everything in between. It’s perfect. The last paragraph of this post really hit home with me. Today we have our first embryo transfer.
Jane, thank you for your comment! I am glad you are keeping up with our journey and blogging world. Good luck on your first transfer. Try to take it easy during the TWW. Its maddening but seriously try to find things to distract you.
