Want some motivation to read this blog, as if you needed any? There is information about an awesome giveaway at the end of this blog… Hooked?
Ever heard the expression “Cold Feet”? How about people getting “clammy hands” when they are nervous? I remember having both things when I stroked out my first mortgage payment… I still get that feeling when those checks go in the envelope. Bit of a digression there. It turns out that these are our body’s natural physiological response to what we interpret as a dangerous situation. Weddings, mortgage payments, unpaid gambling debts, all sounds kinda dangerous to me. When our body senses a dangerous situation, it refocuses our blood supply to ensure that our vital organs have as much, or even more nourishment. Sorry out there to all the musicians, your brain still does not consider your hands or feet as vital organs. This includes reducing the blood supply to your reproductive organs. That can’t be good for those of us out there trying with all our might to conceive. What can we do? Hmmm, if there was some way to refocus our energies to maintain a balanced mind. Maybe a product or something we could use to help us restore this balance.
Enter in fertility foot soak, more so a specific product to use for this. Our friends at Tree of Life Acupuncture, we learn how soaking our feet using essential oil can have a positive impact on our fertility.
“Many women may have deficiency symptoms such as cold feet, especially at night. Soaking the feet in warm water for 10-20 minutes per day improves the circulation to the lower half of the body and warms the feet. This treatment dilates the blood vessels in the lower half of the body and increases the blood flow to the reproductive organs as well. All meridians of the body passing through the uterus go down to the feet, and soaking the feet helps improve the circulation and blood flow to this area, reduces stress, and helps encourage peaceful sleep”
You know what else? Using this treatment also makes you pause for a brief moment in your busy day. It’s almost like a BOGO deal. By taking a break in our already stressful fertility hormone riddled day and best to do in the evening; you can calm your body and mind. If you really want to go for broke, get all hippie with it. Mix in some meditation in with your foot soak and bring that balance back to your mind, crazy style. I use to raise an eyebrow about coupling holistic treatments with my IVF procedures, such as acupuncture, yoga, mediation and herbs but trust me folks, there is something to it. If you want a bit more information on why the specific oils in the Tree of Life Acupuncture foot soak are so great, check this blog out.

How do you personally look for info for your fresh posts, which search resources or techniques do you generally rely on?
Chris and Candace says
Hey Shannon, we typically research our topics in 1 of 3 ways. First, most of our blogs are from first-hand experience. So, if it is something we have done, a treatment for example, we will have researched the topic with our RE, OB-GYN, or any other health-care professional that would be knowledgeable on it. The second way we research is by reaching out to community forums and support group members that we are involved with. If they have experienced a similar event or treatment, they will have done research that we can leverage to gain greater insight. Finally, we will research books, other blogs, other organizations, research articles, and other websites. Once we have compiled all of this, we try to wrap it up and deliver it in a humorous, yet informative package. For this entry, we have used the product and reached out to the manufacturer for information on the intended benefits of the foot soak. We also researched foot soak treatments in general and talked to other holistic-based treatment specialists, including our acupuncturist, on this approach. Let us know what you think.
